Getting in & parking
Step by step
Open the lockbox to the right of the small front gate — the code is 1952. Inside are two keys: the blue key is for the small gate, the black key for the main gate of the house. The front door is unlocked, as is the door to the garage. You're more than welcome to park in the main garage. To come and go by car, the gate & garage remotes are on the coffee table in the lounge.

How things work
Gate & garage remote
You'll find the remotes on the coffee table in the lounge — you walk right into it. Using the remotes to enter and exit the property is by far the easiest way, rather than using keys and doors. Note that the gates don't have a sensor to auto-close, so you'll need to press the button to open, and again to close. Here's what each button does:
- 1 — Main gate (green)
- 2 — Main garage door (red)
- 3 — Side gate / small gate (blue)
- 4 — Small garage door (grey)

Stove & oven
Hot water
Our hot water comes from a gas geyser. If you ever struggle to get hot water, the most likely cause is that the gas has run out — you'll see a C8 error as confirmation. The video below shows how to switch over the gas canisters, and there will always be spares.
Coffee machine

- Spare towels & linen — linen closet on the way to the main bedroom
- Extra toilet paper — top left cupboard in the scullery
- Cleaning supplies — bottom left drawers in the scullery
- Hairdryer — in the two bottom bedrooms

Security
We're very fortunate to live in a beautiful and safe space. Mostertsdrift has virtually zero serious incidents, though minor theft has occurred. Please make sure the main gate stays closed so we keep unwelcome visitors out. Feel free to contact the JSRA — our local safety and security officers — at any time if you have a problem or want to report something or someone.
Fire
Multiple fire extinguishers are located throughout the house in case of emergency.
House rules
- Quiet hours 23:00–07:00 — we have neighbours close by, thank you for keeping it down.
- Please smoke outside.
- Pets are more than welcome if pre-approved (please not on the beds).
- Intimate gatherings are fine — please, no wild parties.
- Up to 11 guests may stay overnight.
- Shared space — the outside door at the laundry leads to the neighbour. The extra black wheelie bins and the gas are kept here.

Before you go
- Bag the rubbish — the black wheely bin is in the garage
- Leave the remotes on the table
- Lock the two black gates you entered through
- Pop the keys back in the lockbox
